This week, we have been learning about Remembrance Day and watched a short CBeebies story and some clips of the Remembrance day parade at the Cenotaph in London. We looked closely at poppies, explaining to the children that we wear poppies to ‘remember’. We have made poppies in different ways, practising our cutting skills.

On Tuesday, we wore some brilliantly coloured odd socks for Anti-Bullying week. We also watched a Topsy and Tim video all about Kindness, which the children really enjoyed.

We have also been busy making star shaped baubles for a Christmas Tree festival. It’s at St. Hildeburgh’s Church in Hoylake from 6pm on Friday 6th December when Kingsmead School Choir will be singing. Please come along and watch the choir and see our star baubles sparkle the Kingsmead Christmas tree!

And finally, we finished up a fun week with some biscuit-decorating for Children in Need. Lots of stripes and spots on display in aid of this great cause today!
