Fees for International School

It is our policy to keep fees to the minimum necessary to maintain the School’s standards and facilities. These are normally reviewed annually at Easter, with any change coming into effect from September. Parents normally receive a term’s notice of any change.

There are three terms in the school year

ADMISSION CHARGES (payable before a pupil is admitted)

Registration Fee:
A non-returnable Registration fee of £125 is required with the completed registration form

Returnable Deposit:
a returnable deposit of £4,000 will be invoiced on your first term’s account but is not counted against your school fees. This amount is refunded on the final invoice after your child leaves the school.

NOTES ON FEES AND CHARGES

Boarding fees include all curriculum tuition, accommodation, meals, laundry, all ordinary medical and nursing charges, Wi-Fi, all timetabled sports, and the use of all sports and music facilities, excluding private tuition. It also covers most school run activities after lessons and at weekends. Additional charges for special events, transport, public examination fees and some teaching materials will be notified to parents.

 Fees for all departments are payable on receipt of the termly Fee Invoice and no later by the first day of term. Interest will be charged at the rate of 2% per month on any late payments.

 International students: for pupils whose first language is not English the school provides a professional and dedicated ‘English as an Additional Language’ (EAL) service. This is fully integrated into the weekly timetable. Upon arrival, each pupil is assessed and an appropriate programme of EAL lessons recommended. Please see below for charges.

Other private tuition – These can be organised for tennis, sailing, shooting, horse riding, swimming and golf. These are charged as an additional sum.

Cheque and Remittance
A cheque made payable to ‘Kingsmead School Hoylake Trust Ltd’. Please send with the remittance slip at the bottom of your invoice.
All fee charges are reviewed annually by the Governing Body and notified to parents prior to implementation.

Notice
A full term’s written notice addressed to the Headmaster is required on or before the first day of term at the end of which a pupil is to be removed. Otherwise a full term’s fees must be paid in lieu of notice. Such notice will be acknowledged in writing by the Headmaster and only such acknowledge constitutes acceptance.

Family Discounts:
For parents with two or more children, with at least one child attending the main school, there will be a 10% reduction in tuition fees for the second child and each subsequent child.
