Fees for International School

It is our policy to keep fees to the minimum necessary to maintain the School’s standards and facilities. These are normally reviewed annually at Easter, with any change coming into effect from September. Parents normally receive a term’s notice of any change.

There are three terms in the school year

ADMISSION CHARGES (payable before a pupil is admitted)

Registration Fee:
a non-returnable £125 registration fee is payable when you register your child for a place at Kingsmead School.

Returnable Deposit:
a returnable deposit of £5,600 will be invoiced on your first term’s account but is not counted against your school fees. This amount is refunded on the final invoice after your child leaves the school.

Fees are charged per term and cover curriculum tuition, meals and participation in most School-run activities after lessons and at weekends. It also covers all accommodation, laundry, all ordinary medical and nursing charges, Wi-Fi, all timetabled sports, and the use of all sports and music facilities, excluding private tuition. Additional charges for special events, transport, public examination fees and some teaching materials will be notified to parents. Fees are payable by the first day of term.

For pupils whose first language is not English the school provides a professional and dedicated ‘English as an Additional Language’ (EAL) service. This is fully integrated into the weekly timetable. Upon arrival each pupil is assessed and an appropriate programme of EAL lessons recommended.

If parents request one-to-one or group support lessons, or the Learning Development Unit recommends to parents that lessons are necessary, the charge for each term will be:

Fees for private music lessons are based on the rates recommended by the Incorporated Society of Musicians. There is a minimum commitment to 10 lessons per term.

Cheque and Remittance
A cheque made payable to ‘Kingsmead School Hoylake Trust Ltd’. Please send with the remittance slip at the bottom of your invoice.
All fee charges are reviewed annually by the Governing Body and notified to parents prior to implementation.

A full term’s written notice addressed to the Headmaster is required on or before the first day of term at the end of which a pupil is to be removed. Otherwise a full term’s fees must be paid in lieu of notice. Such notice will be acknowledged in writing by the Headmaster and only such acknowledge constitutes acceptance.

Family Discounts:
For parents with two or more children, with at least one child attending the main school, there will be a 10% reduction in tuition fees for the second child and each subsequent child.
