As part of their ‘History Around Us’ study, our intrepid Year 8s set out in the footsteps of Edward I and his genius architect, Master James of St George, to investigate Conwy Castle; an architectural tour de force that took only four and a half years to complete.  Their exploration of its many defences left them in no doubt: you would either have to be very brave or very foolish to even attempt an attack.
