‘Points of Light’ are outstanding individual volunteers – people who are making a change in their community.  It is a programme that was developed in partnership with a US programme and launched in the Cabinet Room at 10 Downing Street in April 2014.  Since then, every week day, the Prime Minister recognises an inspirational volunteer with the daily Point of Light award.   The 970th person to be awarded this accolade is Kingsmead’s Elizabeth Gadsdon for her hard work and dedication to protecting the environment keeping the local area clean and free of litter.

Elizabeth was presented her award by the Mayor of Wirral and was delighted to wear the Mayoresses chain of office.  She didn’t wear the Mayor’s though as that was “far too heavy”!

Well done Elizabeth and all of her ‘Little Collector Crew’ for all that they do.
