Ms A Byrne

Ms Byrne was born in Liverpool and attended Birkenhead High School for Girls before earning a BA (Hons) in Physical Education, and subsequently a PGCE, from the University of Birmingham.

She taught at a number of schools in the Midlands before becoming Head of Girls P.E. at Rock Ferry High School, from where she moved to a post in charge of Geography and PE at Kilgarth Special School (EBD) in Wirral.

When she is not looking after her daughter, Ms Byrne plays hockey for Neston Hockey Club 1st XI. Her hobbies include salsa dancing, socialising and travelling. She dislikes snobbery. Musically she lists her taste as latin, soul and rock’n’roll!

Ms Byrne likes working at Kingsmead because she feels it is a school where the talents of all are recognised, valued and utilised.
