Mrs C Smith

Mrs Smith was born in Bebington and went to St Andrew’s Church of England Primary School before moving to Wirral Grammar School for Girls, where she developed a passion for music. After ‘A’ levels, she accepted a place at the College of Ripon and York St John where she graduated with a B.Ed (Hons), majoring in music.

Mrs Smith has taught in state schools in Oldham and Wirral, as well as a period working with the SCEA (Service Children’s Education Authority). Her love of music has been an important feature of her teaching career, co-ordinating the subject in a number of schools.

Mrs Smith’s hobbies are reading and, much to the annoyance of her children, singing. She dislikes crowded places.

She is a leading member of the music group at St Andrew’s Church, Bebington where she worships with her family. Mrs Smith has played in the Steve James band whose music is available on a number of CDs.

She enjoys working at Kingsmead because the school offers her the opportunity to see the children in her charge grow in self-esteem and confidence as they discover their talents and gifts.
