Head of Infants Mrs Billington was born in Liverpool, but raised and educated on the Wirral. She holds a first-class honours degree in education and a PGCE qualification, specialising in curriculum management and co-ordination.

She has taught at Kingsmead since 1998, working in both junior and infant departments.

Before taking up teaching, Mrs Billington worked in a variety of management roles in the Civil Service. Her son and daughter were both pupils at Kingsmead.

Mrs Billington particularly values the happy and relaxed atmosphere at the school which, she feels, is critical in supporting the learning environment.
