Mrs Fiona Austin hails from the county town of Hereford, but attended secondary school at Saffron Walden County High School in Essex.

Mrs Austin studied at Nottingham University where she was awarded a B Sc (Hons) degree, before moving to Liverpool University to complete her teacher training with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education.

A teacher of science, Mrs Austin also spent over two years teaching English as a Foreign Language in Spain. She taught Science in St Helens, Lancashire, and lately at Highfield School in Birkenhead, until its recent closure.

Mrs Austin is presently re-learning Spanish as a hobby as well as enjoying bird-watching, walking, watching films and reading. She enjoys the supportive and happy Christian environment at Kingsmead.
