Mr Denis Patterson was born and bred in Wallasey where he was a pupil at the Wallasey Technical Grammar School.
Mr Patterson qualified as a teacher at the Ethel Wormald College in Liverpool, where he earned a Cert. Ed, completing his training with a Dip. RSA and B.A. degree at the Open University.
He taught for 27 years in Special Education, and, before coming to Kingsmead, ran a behaviour support unit.
Mr Patterson enjoys his work in the LDU at Kingsmead because he finds the one-to-one support work which makes up his timetable to be extremely satisfying and rewarding.
His wife Barbara also works in the same department and both are popular members of Kingsmead’s own independent Centenary Leisure and Travel Club.
