Physical Education

Physical Education is a vital part of the Kingsmead experience! Kingsmead has excellent sports facilities for girls and boys, including a tennis court, hockey, football, rugby, cricket and rounders pitches, an athletics track, a large gymnasium and a heated swimming pool.

The Department is run by Mr E A Phillips, Director of Physical Education. He is ably assisted by teaching staff from other subject areas of the school, many of whom take responsibility for teams.

Fixtures are played against other leading independent schools from the region, and many of the children in junior and senior departments will have the opportunity to represent their school in a team.
