Mrs Kellett was born in Wirral and attended Wirral Grammar School for Girls, before studying at Leeds Metropolitan University (Carnegie) to complete her B.A. (Hons).

During her schooldays, Mrs Kellett proved herself an all-round sportswoman, representing the county at netball, lacrosse, athletics and swimming. She ran the London Marathon in 1999.

Mrs Kellett spent her early working life in the capital, working as a mobile fitness manager, running corporate fitness centres at venues which included the House of Commons, the BBC and Coca-Cola’s London base. She moved to Wantage, Oxford, taking a post as a PE teacher at King Alfred’s Sports College, before returning to Wirral and a post at Kingsmead.

Mrs Kellett also teaches swimming to EYFS and Key Stage 1, alongside her teaching in Juniors and Seniors. Her many talents include qualifications as a coach in many disciplines, including gymnastics, swimming, trampolining, step and aerobics.
