Mrs Eaton was born in Wirral and now lives close to school in Hoylake. She attended Upton Convent (now Upton Hall School) until the age of 15, when she left to complete her ‘A’ levels at Rendcomb College, Gloucestershire.
She then returned to the northwest to study law at Liverpool University, and qualified as a solicitor.
While her children were very young, she studied mathematics with the Open University, subsequently completing a PGCE at Chester College. Mrs Eaton joined the Kingsmead staff in 1996.
As well as teaching maths, Mrs Eaton is also Exams Officer for the school. This involves liaising with pupils, staff and exam boards to ensure everyone is entered for the correct exam. She also tries to make the GCSE exams run as smoothly as possible with as little tension for the students as can be in the circumstances. She finds this very rewarding, but it does make Results Day in August doubly nerve-wracking.
Outside school, Mrs Eaton now delights in two grandsons, and relaxes by singing, reading and gardening.
