Department: Infant Department
Mrs Blair grew up on the Wirral and has always wanted to work with children, even as a young girl. After attending Neston High School, Mrs Blair decided to go on to study for her Diploma in Nursery Nursing (NNEB), and on leaving college went on to work within a private day nursery. During this time, Mrs Blair met her husband and they married, and she decided to take a break in her career to raise their family. During her children’s early years in school, she decided to become a volunteer for a charity called Home-start, giving help, advice and support to parents and families who needed it. She then went on to work at a pre-school which reignited her love of working with young children and she hasn’t looked back since.
Mrs Blair finds it exciting and a privilege to work at Kingsmead. She enjoys the close knit, family feel to the school, and particularly likes the small classes where the individual child is the focus. This allows her to tailor activities and resources to really excite and ignite a love of learning in the children in her care.
Mrs Blair is married with two boys and they are a very active family, enjoying mountain biking, walking and family holidays in their caravan and with their bikes to Wales, Scotland and France. She also loves to unwind with a good book, and enjoys cooking for her family.
