Welcome to you all – pupils old and new, parents and Old Kingsmeadians. Welcome also to the parents and grandparents who are considering a Kingsmead education for the children in their families…

The school was founded in 1904 to provide an environment “ideal for learning well” - a promise it has fulfilled for over 100 years. Today the school still offers a wholly pupil-centred, holistic education and is one of Merseyside’s leading independent schools.

So what is it that makes Kingsmead so different?

Firstly, the size of the school ensures that the children here are known - and taught - as individuals.

Next, we team consistently high expectations of conduct with warm praise of effort. Together, these underpin the excellent relationship that exists between staff and pupils.
