Prom Night!

To the many decades-old Kingsmead traditions which mark the passing of every year has just been added the more modern form of celebration - the Prom Night...

And on an evening in late June, our 2012 Year 11s took Hoylake Sailing Club, the teachers, and their parents by storm. It was a lovely evening, filled with laughter, celebration and just a tinge of sadness at the approaching end to the pupils' time at Kingsmead. Many of the teaching staff - from Infants right through to their current form tutors and subject teachers - turned out to enjoy the evening with them and to "oooh" and "aah" over this lovely group of students in all their elegant attire.

Some of this year's leavers have come right through the school from the Infants Department, so as well as all the lovely portraits of our young people in their finery in the gallery below, there is a special photograph of that group with Mrs Billington, who taught them in the Infants and then again, later on in their school careers, too.

Kingsmead is very proud of the young adults our Year 11 pupils have become, and never more so than on this happy night.
