Never a dull moment...

While the hours inside our classrooms are hugely productive, not a minute outside is wasted either. Every break, lunch and after school hour has something interesting to offer.

We have 20 acres of grounds – eight of which are continuously available to our pupils. Breaks are filled with freedom and exuberance; pupils have all the room they could possibly need in which to let off steam, and quiet corners in which they can just relax…

Breaktime, lunchtime and after-school clubs, practices and sporting opportunities abound. When the teaching day is over, pupils can use the grounds, the swimming pool, music room, Founder’s Hall and ICT suites.

Bushcraft activity. There’s music, drama and highly contested sporting fixtures. There’s a stunning mix of indoor and outdoor activities available: new foreign languages, bushcraft and golf (at the Royal Liverpool Golf Club, just up the road).

There are regular opportunities to travel abroad or to take part in weekend residential programmes. Many activities involve the whole family - including grandparents!

‘Meanwhile, the boarders’ weekly ‘Super Sunday’ programme is open to flexi-boarders - and occasionally to day pupils, so they can all relax and have fun together on a different excursion every week.

And when the term ends... the ‘Kidzone’ holiday activity programme takes over the entire campus, every hour brim-full with variety and fun.

Fifty weeks of the year. From morning till night. Life at Kingsmead is never boring.
