Walkers strolling along the Prom in Hoylake have been admiring the Wishing Flags made by local schoolchildren in celebration of ‘Our Beautiful World’. The Flags are part of the community’s contribution to the Festival of Firsts.
Of course Kingsmead has been involved and the lovely Flags featured here were made by the youngest members of our school as part of the Creative Exploration initiative. They loved doing the stencilling, learning how to ‘dab’ and blend, using brightly coloured paint, looking at butterflies and bees and even learning what symmetry means.
Year 8 Art students also helped to complete the set of flags, ready for the display. They look beautiful. Well done EYFS and Year 8.
