In a double whammy of fieldtrips, Years 10 and 11 went to visit Pistyll Rhaeadr Waterfall in the Berwyn Mountains of North Wales on Wednesday 8th and Friday 10th March.

Studying the river processes and landforms, the honeypot site and the glacial landscape, the students scaled the dizzying heights of the falls to gain impressive views of the Nant-y-Llyn valley and the surrounding mountains.

The wet weather didn’t dampen their spirits or their resolve to learn about this fascinating and unspoilt corner of Wales as part of their GCSE studies.
