Apparently, a car comes off the production line at the Jaguar Land Rover factory in Halewood every 80 seconds. The Year 1 and 2 children took just a little longer to complete theirs, but their production line was equally efficient, I’m sure!
The call went out for the raw materials (a shoe box was sourced). The next step was undertaken at the body shop (for papier mâché to be applied) and then it was off to the paint shop for finishing. The axle holders, axles and wheels were all fitted along with “go faster” stickers and headlights (Mrs Rentell’s contact lens cases).
Our production line may have been a bit more Morgan than Ford but I’m sure even Henry Ford would be proud of the results. Great work Year 1 and 2s.
