Year 7 spent three lovely days at Colomendy in North Wales at the Kingswood Activity Centre on their bonding trip last week. The aim of the event is for the pupils and staff to get to know each other better.
The year group threw themselves into the activities with enthusiasm – and courage. They abseiled, climbed, fenced, played games and swung on the 3-G swing (a firm favourite). Throughout they encouraged each other and celebrated everyone’s achievements.
Aside from the very active sessions they also had quieter events such as problem solving, night walk and making a rocket from scrap. All these activities encouraged the group to listen to each other and work as a team.
Mr Wilson, Mrs Hodgson, Mrs Wilkinson and Mrs Austin were delighted to see the group working so well together. We returned to school having pushed ourselves out of our comfort zone: bonded and happy!
