Yesterday Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 went to the Narnia Experience in Liverpool.
The excited Juniors travelled by train and bus to enjoy the walk-through theatre experience at St George’s Hall, which has been transformed into an interactive version of the CS Lewis classic.
The experience began for each pupil when they stepped through a wardrobe of fur coats… stumbling into Narnia’s wintry forest full of pine trees. Each pupil took on the role of either Lucy or Edmund and followed the story from their perspective, meeting characters like Mr Tumnus, Mrs Beaver, The White Witch and Aslan the lion, and learning about themes such as temptation, loyalty and sacrifice.
The 90-minute event has been created in partnership with In Another Place, an organisation which specialises in bringing the Christian message to life in creative ways. Previous projects have included telling the Nativity story on Crosby beach.
The Narnia Experience is at St George’s Hall until 25 February.
