4th June 2017
As you will have seen on this term’s calendar, the annual trip to Moel Famau has been fixed for Friday 30th June. This year, all students in Year 7 and above will be climbing to the summit.
Dress for the day will be as follows:-
• Thick soled shoes or boots with a good grip
• Short or long trousers (not jeans)
• Warm sweater
• Waterproof kagoul or anorak
• Hat (optional) plus sun screen/other protection from the sun
• Backpack with two straps (for carrying food)
Children may bring their own picnic lunch, although we are happy to provide a school packed lunch (this should be requested no later than Friday 23rd June). In addition, something should be provided for a snack (cake, biscuits, fruit etc.). Drinks should be in a plastic bottle with a screw top and should be of the non-fizzy variety. Please do not send in any food that contains nuts as we are a nut free school. A little pocket money (approximately £3) may be brought for buying ice creams etc. at Loggerheads after the descent from the summit.
Children should arrive at school at the normal time in the morning. Pupils will be expected to arrive back at school between 5.15pm and 5.45pm. We will telephone the school with a more accurate time of arrival once we set off on our return. The school bus will not be available on this day.
Please complete the reply slip below and return to Reception by Friday 23rd June 2017.
